On November 14, 2023, a delegation of 32, led by the Governor of the Emilia-Romagna region in Italy including co-op officials from the same region, visited Japan on an economic mission. During the visit, 11 co-op officials, including representatives from JCCU, the Central Union of Agricultural Co-operatives (JA Zenchu), and the Japan Co-operative Alliance (JCA), met with the delegation.

From August 4th to 5th, 2023, JCCU and the Hiroshima Consumers' Co-operative Union jointly held the "2023 Peace Action in Hiroshima". This event, along with the "2023 Peace Action in Nagasaki," held from August 7th to 8th saw a combined participation of 3,500 individuals from 51 consumer co-ops nationwide, including those who joined online, during the four-day events.

On September 19-20, 2023, the 25th Anniversary Celebration of the ICA-AP Committee on Women was held in Tokyo. A total of 98 participants from six countries, including Japan, gathered at the venue, while 71 participants from 12 countries joined online.

Since 1991, JCCU has annually organized training program for managers of consumer co-ops and cooperatives in Asia and the Pacific, given them the opportunity to learn about the businesses and activities of Japanese consumer co-ops. This year's program is the first in nearly four years, as the 2020-2022 period was affected by the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

On July 4, 2023, the Japan Co-operative Alliance (JCA) and its members held a commemorative gathering to celebrate the "101st International Day of Cooperatives". The event was held in a hybrid format that combined on-site (Shibuya, Tokyo) and online streaming. 188 people, participated in person, while 168 people participated online.

JCCU has been implementing the CO・OP Core-non-Smile School Project since November 1, 2010. Under this project, one yen from the sale of every pack of "Core-non-Roll" and "One-touch Core-non Roll" is donated to UNICEF to support its "Child-Friendly Schools" (CFSs) initiative in the Republic of Angola in Africa. In the 12th term, a total of about 10.68 million packs were sold.

On July 4, 2022, the 100th International Day of Co-operatives Forum in Japan was held by the Japan Co-operative Alliance (JCA) in a hybrid format with both physical (in-person) attendance and online streaming. 179 co-operative officials and members, academicians, and media representatives attended in-person, while 273 people participated online.
