In August 2021, heavy rains in Minamishimabara City, Nagasaki Prefecture, forced about 100 residents of the surrounding area to take refuge in evacuation centers due to fears of a large-scale mudslide disaster. Lala Co-op supplied all three meals, from sweet bread and cooked bread for breakfast through lunch and dinner.
