Co-op Mirai has been donating approximately 200 tons of rice to local food banks, social welfare councils, and other organizations that provide food assistance to the needy throughout the year starting in March 2022.
Toyama Co-op donated about 3,500 pieces of sanitary pads to each junior high school and 1,400 pieces to each elementary school in Uozu City. In addition, about 3,500 pieces were presented to the Children's Division of the City Hall.
The Toyama Consumers' Co-operative Union hosted a beach cleanup operation at two venues, Yaezuhama Beach and Rokudouji Sea Shore. A total of 511 people (including 231 from Toyama Co-op), 303 for Yaezuhama Beach and 208 for Rokudouji Sea Shore, participated in the event.
