Sales of CO・OP Brand Frozen Foods in FY2024 Reached a Record High at 101.6% Year-on-Year
In the third phase of the "Nationwide Members' Living Support Campaign," held from September to November 2024, the number of CO・OP brand frozen food items included in the campaign exceeded the number in FY2023. During the campaign, the purchase of targeted items such as frozen pork cutlets, frozen cooked rice, frozen snacks, Chinese prepared dishes (such as dumplings), and gratin increased, leading to overall growth in prepared frozen food sales. Furthermore, from September onwards, due to rice shortages and rising prices, the demand for frozen cooked rice dishes such as grilled rice balls (Yaki Onigiri) and pilaf expanded significantly. As a result, the prepared frozen food division of JCCU achieved record-high sales in FY2024, reaching 101.6% compared to the previous year.

In response to this achievement, JCCU has decided to strengthen its range of prepared frozen foods in FY2025 by developing new products and redeveloping popular core items favored by co-op members.
JCCU's Frozen Food Business Policy for FY2025
Due to rising costs caused by ongoing inflation, the business environment surrounding JCCU's frozen food business remains challenging. Even under these circumstances, JCCU has decided to actively redevelop core products that support co-op members' daily lives. While improving the convenience of its products, the organization will also strive to maintain "fair pricing". Additionally, continuing from FY2024, JCCU will again engage specialists who can offer advice on the appeal and preservation methods of frozen foods. Through home delivery catalogs and in-store promotional materials across consumer co-ops nationwide, JCCU will continue public relations and promotional efforts to highlight the appeal of CO・OP Brand frozen foods.
