This grant program for activities supporting children in poverty began in FY2020, and FY2024 marks its fifth year. It is implemented through the collaboration between JCCU's catalog and online sales business and "Children's Future Action".
"Children's Future Action" is a movement that views issues affecting children, such as poverty, as societal problems. It encourages learning, reflection, and the expansion of empathy. JCCU serves as the secretariat for the initiative.
The activities eligible for funding include not only economic hardship but also domestic challenges such as abuse and isolation, issues in human relationships, and poverty of opportunity. These activities aim to support children struggling with various difficulties within their local communities.
