JCCU Revises Part of the "Consumer Co-op 2030 Environmental Sustainability Policy"

JCCU has partially revised the sections of the "Consumer Co-op 2030 Environmental Sustainability Policy" related to three areas: "Climate Change Measures", "Respect for Human Rights", and "Biodiversity Conservation", within the "10 Action Guidelines" and the "2030 Targets."
Purpose and Details of the Revision
1.Climate Change Measures - Calculate CO₂ emissions across the entire supply chain at consumer co-ops nationwide and promote reductions.
Purpose of the Revision:
- Reduce CO₂ emissions by 50% or more by 2030 compared with FY2013.
- Achieve net-zero CO₂ emissions by 2050.
- Improve the tracking of emissions to set targets that limit the global temperature rise to below 2°C.

- Create opportunities for co-op members, staff, and business partners to learn about human rights together.

- Promote sustainable production and direct-procurement from producers.
- Develop product development projects that contribute to the conservation of animals and plants.
