On November 7, 2019, eight executive officers including the President, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Bao from the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance (VCA) paid a courtesy visit to JCCU and Co-opdeli Consumers’ Co-operative Union. The purpose of the tour was to learn about the Japanese Co-ops efforts toward the development of Co-ops in Vietnam.

The delegates first visited JCCU and received a lecture on the overview of Japanese co-ops and subsequently to the headquarters of Co-opdeli Consumers’ Co-operative Union to receive another lecture on the overview of the organization. Thereafter, they visited a store of Co-op Mirai which is a member co-op of Co-opdeli Consumers’ Co-operative Union.

The delegates were impressed and interested to see the various efforts and contributions that the Japanese consumer co-op movement has been promoted mainly by the co-op members, that members are actively involved in the business and activities.
