A two-week study tour by staff delegates from Saigon Co-op in Vietnam to Co-op Sapporo

From July 1 to 14, 2018, 10 staff members from Saigon Coop in Vietnam visited Co-op Sapporo on a two-week study tour to learn about consumer co-op activities in Japan.

In the training, they learned about Co-op Sapporo’s activities including a day workplace experience at the store, a tour to Co-op Sapporo’s factory and home delivery to learn about how co-op products are delivered to members’ houses. Apart from the training, the trainees had the chance to explore the magnificent nature of Hokkaido such as Furano and Biei, and had the opportunity to interact with Vietnamese intern trainees working in a food processing factory in Co-op Sapporo.

On the last day of the training, the trainees made presentations on what they experienced during the two-week programme such store operation and business improvement. At the closing ceremony, Mr. ARAKAWA Hiroki, and Mr. OMI Hideaki, the Chairman and the President respectively of Co-op Sapporo participated and promised a future regular interaction with Saigon Coop as well as building strong cooperative relationship between the two co-ops in respect of business.
