On July 5, designated as the International Day of Cooperatives, the IYC2025 Japan Committee hosted the event titled "See, Listen, and Experience: Co-operative Festival." The event was co-sponsored by the Cabinet Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Financial Services Agency, and the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency.
At the venue, 38 organizations, including co-operatives, set up booths featuring creative exhibits, interactive programs, and product sales. On the special stage, ARAI Chitose, Vice Chairperson of the IYC2025 Japan Committee and President of JCCU, delivered the opening address. A variety of engaging programs followed, allowing visitors to enjoyably learn about co-operatives and the SDGs.
The event welcomed approximately 4,000 attendees, including students and families. Through a combination of exhibitions, lectures, and interactive programs, participants deepened their awareness and understanding of the pivotal role co-operatives play in advancing the SDGs.
