This year's theme was "Let's talk about the future of co-operatives!" After greetings from officials and an overview of the co-operative's identity, two case study reports were presented.

Ms. NAKAYAMA Mutsumi, Director of the Go! Ueda Local Welfare Center of Central Workers' Cooperative, reported the process of launching the center to support after-school activities for children with disabilities under the slogan "Everyone is different and good," and how the center has grown while overcoming difficulties.

Following the report, Mr. NAGAI Shinjirou, Vice President of Co-op Deli Consumers' Cooperative Union, and Mr. WATANABE Manabu, General Manager of General Affairs Department of Sado Agricultural Cooperative, spoke on the theme "Sado Ibis Rice Support Project" through collaboration between Japan Agricultural Cooperatives, Consumer Cooperatives and local government, explaining that the project is based on Sanchoku (direct transaction) between Co-op Deli and JA Sado in cooperation with the local government, and that the number of ibis has increased to more than 500.
