Toyama Consumer Co-operative (Toyama Co-op) was established on April 1, 2022, through the merger of Toyama Prefecture Consumer Co-operative and Co・op Toyama. In October and November 2022, the Co-op held "Co-op Festival" in three business areas (Toyama block, West block, and East Center) to announce the birth of the new Co-op and to express its gratitude to its members and the local people.

The festival was held on October 22, 29, and November 5, respectively, and a total of about 6,000 co-op members and local residents participated in the three days event. The stage performances included opera performances, taiko drumming, hula dancing, folk song concerts, and kids' dance performances, while at the food and beverage corner, yakisoba (stir-fried noodles) and takoyaki made by Co-op staff were served, drawing long lines. A sales corner for Co-op products was set up, and Co-op suppliers and producers sold their products and interacted with co-op members and the local people. Many families with small children participated in the event.

A food drive was also held at the festival site, and a total of 73 people donated food, weighing 189.2 kg, at the three venues.
*Toyama Co-op was founded in April 2022 through the merger of Toyama Prefecture Consumer Co-operative and Co・op Toyama. It is a consumer co-operative mainly engaged in home delivery and store business in Toyama Prefecture, and also provides welfare services and support for members' activities.
