JCCU is pleased to announce that, as of May 16, a total amount of 880,347,848 yen* (according to JCCU) has been raised by the members of 33 consumer co-ops and co-op federations to support Ukraine following the invasion by Russian forces that began on February 24, 2022.
Donations were collected through donation boxes placed in consumer co-op stores nationwide and home delivery order forms. The collected amount was subsequently donated to the Japan Committee for UNICEF and other organizations that support Ukrainian refugees. Through these organizations, the funds will be used to support Ukrainian children and refugees.

JCCU and 107 consumer co-ops and co-op federations nationwide have also issued statements of protest against the invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops (as of May 31).
Under its founding philosophy and slogan "For Peace and Better Life," JCCU, together with consumer co-ops and its members nationwide, will continue to support activities that bring the people of Ukraine together.
