2021.12.16

In Co-op Oita*, in the Hatakenaka area, the milk carton recycling event was held as a member activity.  Co-op members washed, dried, and brought their milk cartons to the event and exchanged them for CO·OP brand toilet paper "Core-non Roll" for free. The Core-non Roll is made by recycling paper such as milk cartons and catalogs. In this way, Co-op Oita is further encouraging its members to participate in recycling activities.

This year, the event was held on October 13 in a drive-through style at the Co-op Oita Hatanaka area to avoid the place from being crowded in consideration of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In consideration of the traffic situation in the surrounding area, people had to make advance registration and come to the place at a specific time. Despite these regulations, many people applied for the event and a total of 104 people participated.

Ten milk cartons were exchanged for one Core-non Roll (maximum 3 rolls).
The total number of milk cartons collected this time was 3,289, and the number of Core-non Rolls exchanged was 292.
