From October 5 to 6, 2019, “Ibaraki Food Harvest Festival 2019” or “Eat Ibaraki Harvest Festival 2019” was held in Kashima City, Ibaraki Prefecture. This event is held once a year by Ibaraki Prefecture in collaboration with the local government to promote the concept of local production for local consumption of agricultural, forestry and fishery products and processed products from Ibaraki Prefecture. Co-operatives in Ibaraki participate every year. This year, it was organized by Ibaraki Prefecture and Kashima City and sponsored by Eat Ibaraki Promotion Council.

This year's event was attended by producers, companies and local governments with the setting up of about 130 booths. Many people enjoyed the taste of autumn. Consumer Co-ops in Ibaraki that set up booths at the event were Ibaraki Co-op, Palsystem Ibaraki Tochigi, and Ibaraki Consumers’ Co-operative Union.

The exhibition of the Ibaraki Consumers’ Co-operative Union was held in cooperation with JF Nakaminato (Fishery Co-op) Women's Organization and the Ibaraki Prefecture Liaison Committee of Consumer Organization, selling minced fish soup and others. Part of the proceeds was donated to the Fund for “Fukushima Children's Recreation Project” run by Fukushima Consumers' Co-operative Union.
