JCCU has been conducting the “Co-op Detergent Environmental Donation Campaign” since 2011. The campaign is to contribute to environmental protection groups through the sale of the target products, and by 2017, a total of 34 million yen have been donated to domestic and international environmental protection groups.

Since 2018, JCCU has been making donations to the World Wide Fund for Nature Japan (WWF Japan). For every purchase of CO・OP detergents as target products, 0.5 yen is donated to fund WWF Japan’s project to support the sustainable production of small-scale oil palm plantations in Borneo.

The latest campaign was conducted for a period of one year, from May 21, 2018 to May 20, 2019, realizing a total amount of approximately 3.6 million JPY.

JCCU held a donation presentation ceremony in Tokyo on July 19, 2019, and presented an inventory to Mr. TSUTSUI Ryuji, CEO of WWF Japan.

Mr. TSUTSUI comments: "I’m happy to see that through products co-op members can realize how nature is. Thank you for your support of WWF activities."
