On June 1, 2019, three types of retort pouch food for infants were released as CO・OP Brand Product's sub-brand "Kirakira Step" for infants. It is the first CO・OP retort pouch food for infants.

“Kirakira Step” was launched in 2017 with the concept of supporting child-rearing families. The total sales amount of the series (sales from JCCU to member co-ops) in fiscal 2018 exceeded the previous year by more than 30%.

The product released this time is for infants from one and a half years old. There are three types: "Japanese thick sauce", "Curry sauce", and "Chinese-style ground meat sauce" all made with domestic ingredients. All three types can simply be eaten by putting on rice, noodle, etc. In addition, while keeping low salt for infants, they are seasoned to meet the taste of adults. The product concept is that adults and children can enjoy the same food without spending time for cooking.

JCCU plans to increase the lineup of "Kirakira Step" in the future.
