JCCU summarizes March 2019 business turnover of 66 community-based co-ops nationwide operating stores and home delivery service. The total business turnover in March was 205.9 billion JPY which is a decrease of 2.3% compared with the value recorded in the same month last year.

The store and the home delivery sales turnover also fell below the previous year by 1.7% with a value of 70.6 billion JPY and 1.0% with a value 129.2 billion JPY respectively. The store turnover accounted for 34.3% (composition ratio) of the total business turnover while the home delivery business covered 62.7%. Agricultural products and daily foods sales were not strong enough thus having a negative impact on the total business turnover.

The cumulative growth for the 12-month period from April 2018 to March 2019 shows a year-on-year increase of 0.5% and 1.1% respectively for the total business turnover and the home delivery turnover, with a marginal decrease of 0.5% in the store turnover.
