CO・OP Insurance won recognition

The Japan Productivity Center, Service Productivity & Innovation for Growth (SPRING), an independent organization, backed by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), conducted a survey to collect data to estimate the Japanese Customer Satisfaction Index (JCSI*) for 2018 and announced the results on March 28, 2019.

This survey is one of the largest customer satisfaction surveys in Japan based on a concrete evaluation of goods and services by a total of more than 120,000 consumers.

In fiscal 2018, the survey was conducted for several different industries including retailing, entertainment, hotel, insurance, automobile, pharmaceuticals, travel, etc. A total of 131,129 people answered the online survey of 36 industries, 422 companies and brands from April 4 to December 27, 2018.

In the 2018 JCSI general ranking of companies and brands, the CO・OP Insurance was ranked 6th. However, in the category of life insurance alone its rankings was 2nd, with the Prefectural Mutual Aid being the top and no other insurance companies or brands falling within the top 10 ranking.

Also, in fiscal 2018 Japan CSR ranking, CO・OP Insurance was ranked 8th in the top 10 as the only life insurance brand in the top 10 ranking.

*JCSI is national cross-industry benchmarks of customer satisfaction which was established by a working group supported by METI for the purpose of competitiveness reinforcement in 2009.
