On October 19 2018, 18 students from the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy Thammasat University (Thailand) visited JCCU under the leadership of Dr. TAKAHASHI Hiroo, a visiting professor of Thammasat University. After a welcome address, the students were given a lecture by ITO Jiro, Director, Public Relations Division under the theme "The role of co-op in the aging society".

When the students were asked how many of them knew about Co-op, more than half of them rose up their hands.

The lecture started with the introduction of the history and current situation of Japanese consumer co-ops, the aging of Japanese society followed by various businesses and activities of Co-ops nationwide that address solutions to the aging society in Japan.

During the Q & A session, the students asked many questions that facilitated interesting exchanges.
