Delegates from a Korean University Coop visits Japan

On July 9, 17 delegates (observation team) from South Korea's university co-op visited Co-op Shimogamo Store of KYOTO-COOP.

Upon arrival at the store, Mr. Ikuta of Store Operations Dept. explained the store business and the members’ activities of KYOTO-COOP. It was followed by exchanges and there was a wide range of questions from the delegates regarding the assortment and price of items being handled by KYOTO-COOP, the exchanges between the co-op and the university co-ops in Japan, the public relations activities for non-members and about Kyomaru card (the membership card of KYOTO-COOP.

Thereafter, the delegates visited the store’s sales floor and inspected the product lineups as well as the in-store bakery.

At the end of the inspection the delegates expressed their appreciation for the opportunity and mentioned that even though the time was brief, the overall visit was fruitful because of having the time to exchange and understand the activities of co-ops in Japan.
