Deputy CEOs from NTUC FairPrice Singapore visited JCCU

On June 7, 2018, four delegates, including two Deputy CEOs from NTUC FairPrice Singapore, Mr. Gerry Lee, and Mr. Tng Ah Yiam visited JCCU headquarters in Tokyo.

JCCU and NTUC FairPrice have been cooperating in the training program for managers with the aim of enhancing the quality of human resource for the two co-ops.

NTUC FairPrice has been sending young co-op staff to attend the ICA-AP Training Program organized every year in cooperation with JCCU in Japan and JCCU has in return been sending young co-op staff to attend a 6-month in-store training program in FairPrice since over six years.

In that relationship, the FairPrice delegates visited JCCU to further strengthen the ties between the two co-ops.

The delegates were received on behalf of JCCU by HONDA Eiichi, President, SHIMADA Hiroyuki, CEO/Managing Director, FUJII Yoshitsugu, Executive Director and Otsuji Masaaki Senior Executive Officer. HONDA Eiichi gave a welcome greeting followed by Shimada Hiroyuki who gratefully expressed gratitude to NTUC FairPrice for accepting trainees from Japanese co-ops. The 2 Deputy CEOs also expressed appreciation for the ties between the two co-ops and hope it will continue to grow for the benefit of NTUC FairPrice and the Co-ops in Japan.
