Co-op Kumamoto, Co-op Kyushu, in a joint name of JCCU received BCAO Award 2017

JCCU received the "Kumamoto Earthquake (Special Award for Earthquake Response about 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake)" at the "BCAO Award 2017" in a joint name with Co-op Kumamoto and Co-op Kyushu Business Federation.
The BCAO Award, which is hosted by a Specified Non-Profit Japanese Corporation “Business Continuity Advancement Organization (BCAO)”, honors organizations and individuals who have contributed to the advancement and dissemination of business continuity activities in Japan.
During and after the Kumamoto earthquake, Co-op Kumamoto, Co-op Kyushu, and JCCU, with the cooperation of consumer co-ops nationwide, provided physical support and material aid, thereby restoring the business activities in the disaster areas. This effort was highly appreciated to receive the award.
On May 31, 2018, an award ceremony was held at the National Olympics Memorial Youth Center in Tokyo, which was attended by Mr. YOSHINAGA Akira Chairperson of the Board of Directors Co-op Kumamoto, Mr. ETO Junichi Chairperson Co-op Kyushu and YAMAMOTO Katsuya Executive Director of JCCU.

After the award ceremony, Mr. YOSHINAGA gave a presentation detailing the disaster relief assistance provided by co-ops nationwide including the information system support by Co-op Kyushu.
