Pal system introduced activities in the United Nations SDGs event in Bonn, Germany

The Global Festival of Action for Sustainable Development which was hosted by the UN SDG Action Campaign with the support of Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development was held in Bonn, Germany from 21-23 March 2018. The Festival focused on three core themes in 2018: Innovation and disruptive change; Citizen Engagement; and Communicating the SDGs.
 
One of the aims of the festival was to showcase the latest innovations, tools and approaches to SDG implementation and to bring together a wide array of organizations and individuals together to increase mutual understanding, and approach problems and solutions regarding SDG implementation from multiple angles.
 
Palsystem Consumers' Co-operative Union was the only participant (excluding academic institutions), invited to this event from Japan. Mr. ISHIDA Atsushi and Ms. YOSHINAKA Yuki, the President and Vice-President respectively of Palsystem Consumers' Co-operative Union, introduced the Co-op’s activities in achieving a sustainable society by Mr. ISHIDA Atsushi and Mr. YOSHINAKA Yuki, the President and Vice-President respectively of Palsystem Kanagawa Yume Co-op. The Co-op received recognition for its activities and was announced "Japan SDGs Award Winning Organization" by Mr. Mitchell Tommy, the chief executive of the event.
