Fund-raising ceremony for Pink Ribbon Campaign held

From October 1, 2017 to November 20, 2017, JCCU launched the "Pink Ribbon Campaign" to raise funds to help improve the breast cancer problems in Japan. In this campaign one yen per one item sale of CO·OP Brand cosmetics was donated to Approved NPO J.POSH to promote its activity.

The Pink Ribbon movement is an activity to protect as many people as possible from the sadness caused by breast cancer by letting many people know the correct knowledge about breast cancer.

JCCU called on co-ops nationwide to join the campaign by promoting the sale of CO·OP Brand cosmetics through the store and the home delivery outlets.

Through the period of campaign a total amount of 1.26 million yen was raised.

On February 9, 2018, JCCU held a donation ceremony at its headquarters (Co-op Plaza, Tokyo) and SHIMADA Hiroyuki Managing Director/CEO of JCCU presented a catalog representing the amount to Ms. HIRATA Itsuko a board member of NPO J. POSH with appreciation.

JCCU will continue working on educational activities for breast cancer through aggressive dissemination of the "Pink Ribbon movement" with member co-ops and co-op members nationwide.

J.POSH (Japan Pink-Ribbon of Smile and Happiness campaign) is an Approved NPO. It’s main activities are enlightenment about breast cancer and support to breast cancer patients and their families, through educational programs, scholarship for children of breast cancer patients, and so on.
