Since 2006, JCCU has been supporting Para Nordic Skiing Japan Team by sponsoring the team and cheering them for greater success.

The "Para Nordic Skiing Japan Team" is the Japanese national team formed mainly by the members of JAPAN Para-Ski Federation and participates in cross-country skiing and biathlon competition.

On February 19, 2018, one of the athletes, Mr. NITTA Yoshihiro and Mr. ARAI Hideki the coach, paid a courtesy visit to JCCU and reported on the current initiatives of the team and their preparation towards the 2017-2018 season competition. JCCU presented to them a support flag as an encouragement to the team members and also a cheering flag by Okayama Co-op to Mr. NITTA who is a native of Nishiawakura Village in Okayama Prefecture.
