Training Report (ACFSMC)
Training course for young cooperative staff from China
Organized by JCCU in collaboration with Co-op Net Business Association
A seventeen-day (February 11 - February 27) training program was organized by JCCU for two young cooperative staff from All China Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives (ACFSMC) based on the mutual agreement between the two organizations. The Asian Co-operative Development Fund funded the program. Co-op Net Business Association provided the training ground, the facilities and resource persons.
The participants arrived in Japan on February 11 and having gone through a two-day orientation at JCCU headquarters started the practical training at Co-op Net Federation.
The program consisted of different training modules that together cover all the training proposals requested by the trainees such as, retail economy, consumer co-operative store operation, marketing, merchandising & supply chain, environmental management as practiced by co-op, personnel management and customer service. Each training module contained practical exercises with working materials to help link the theoretical parts to the daily work situation.
After the training program the participants made a final presentation to JCCU in which they expressed their concern to embark on product development activities that will help increase the trust customers have for those products upon return home.
